There are only a few professional athletes in all of sports history identifiable only by his/her first name: Kobe, Babe, Wilt, for example.

And Stan was another.

Stan Musial was the kind of baseball player who could make you cry for all the right reasons.

He was 92 when he died this weekend. His Alzheimer’s was another reminder that life is not at all fair.
