An animated President Obama was asked today if he can do more to get Republicans to give in on the issues leading to the so-called sequester. There’s not much more that he can do, he said, when asked if he can lock everyone in a room until there’s a deal.
“I know that this has been some of the conventional wisdom that’s been floating around Washington that somehow, even though most people agree that I’m being reasonable, that most people agree I’m presenting a fair deal, the fact that they don’t take it means that I should somehow, you know, do a Jedi mind meld with these folks and convince them to do what’s right,” he said.
Oh, so close, Mr. President.
There’s no such thing as a Jedi mind meld.
Take it from a guy who knows.
Only a Vulcan mind meld will help with this congress. LLAP
