Today marks the 100th birthday of Chicago’s Wrigley Field, which Sports Illustrated calls “the most meaningful sports venue in this country.”
The Associated Press today provides what it says is a rare a behind-the-scenes look inside the still-run-by-hand scoreboard. There are only two left. The Cubs will add a large video scoreboard next year.
By the way, according to CBS Sports, a baseball has never been hit off the scoreboard.
