It’s the story of Aidan Jack Seeger, who died of adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) in 2012. He was just 7.
Last year, New York became the first state in the country to screen newborns for the genetic disorder that rapidly attacks the nervous system. It mostly affects young boys and kills them within a year. A bone marrow transplant can help them survive.
