I’ve got one of those siblings who has forgotten how to talk anything but politics, and we usually argue on those rare occasions when the family gets together, anymore.
So I’ve got plenty of sympathy for the mother of Brad and Dallas Woodhouse, two talking heads who make a living as political pundits, one arguing from the right, one from the left.
It’s all a bit much for Mama Woodhouse who called CSPAN during their appearance today to give them the what for, including a heaping helping of southern guilt.
“I was very glad that this Thanksgiving was a year that you two were supposed to go to your in-laws,” she said. “I’m hoping you’ll have some of this out of your system when you come here for Christmas. I would really like a peaceful Christmas. And I love you both.”
“That is wishful thinking,” one of the brothers told her.
The host asked her whether she’s a Democrat or Republican and her response was priceless and, undoubtedly, lost on the Washingtonians.
“I’m more of a one-issue person in my life,” she said, “because I have such concern for my autistic grandson.”
