In Cleveland last night, the twin four-year-old daughters of player Mike Aviles threw out the first pitch in the Indians’ game against the Yankees.
One of them, Adriana, was diagnosed with leukemia in May.
Aviles isn’t having much of a season for his team. He’s batting just .218 in limited duty.
But nobody in Cleveland — not the fans and not the players — cares. Because baseball is just a game.
