Staples-Motley breaks 5-year losing skid

You don’t have Staples-Motley to kick around anymore, football fans.

Minnesota’s longest high school football losing streak — 39 games — ended Friday with a 24-to-14 win over Frazee, which probably is making for a pretty lousy Monday in Frazee.

The Brainerd Dispatch says the last time the team won was October 2010.

The team almost won last week but Pequot Lakes barely won a 38-to-30 contest.

MaxPreps ranks the squad No. 236 in the state.

Frazee’s No. 193 ranking may be endangered. The 0-2 team meets Ottertail Central on Friday night.
