This one. It happened in the atrium of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester in 2008.
Marlow, of Ankeny, Iowa, died yesterday morning, KARE says.
His daughter, DeDe, said one of the last questions he asked was, “Do you think there will be a piano in heaven I can play?” DeDe told him she was certain there was something similar to a piano, but much more glorious.
“He’d certainly be joining with the angels playing it for the Lord,” she said.
The last song he sang before he left was “Hold my Hand Lord Jesus Hold my Hand.”
After their 2008 spontaneous performance made them a hit, they returned to Mayo in 2010, and this time they had fans waiting who knew the delightful sweetness of a couple in love when they saw it.
In the original video, Marlow and his wife, Fran, were at Mayo for a week of tests. Every time he had a break, he’d try out the piano. The video, which has more than 11 million views, was the last song.
The couple was married for nearly 70 years.
