At far too young of an age, students in Litchfield Renville are learning a painful lesson about life: Sometimes, depression leads people to take their own life.
In this case, it’s their fifth-grade teacher, the West Central Tribune reports.
Megan Licklider Twernbold took her own life over the weekend. Her sister writes on Facebook that she’d been battling depression for “some time.”
“We’re a very close-knit bunch of people here. Everyone is taking a role. The healing of our staff and students is very important to us,” Renville County West Superintendent Michelle Mortensen told the paper.
