It was a night for adults to show what they’re made of at Valleyfair amusement park in Shakopee last week. They’re not made of much, apparently.
The Shakopee News reports the amusement park set aside last Thursday evening for adults only. No kids around to act like kids and all.
Instead, we got adults acting like children.
The Shakopee police had to call in the cops from Savage, Carver County, and Prior Lake to quell disturbances between “groups out there that didn’t like each other or get along,” Shakopee Police Chief Jeff Tate said.
“I think it was a bigger crowd than anyone expected was going to show up on a Thursday evening before Memorial weekend,” Tate said. “There were points where it took people two hours to get into the park.”
The park has metal detectors and security checks and at one point the line was 400 people deep.
The police chief says he plans to talk to Valleyfair officials.
