Someone stole sympathy cards from Monticello funeral

On the checklist of “are you a horrible person,” stealing cards from a funeral should certainly be at the top.

KARE 11’s Lou Raguse reports someone apparently swiped over 100 cards from Roger Wilson’s funeral in Monticello, Minn. They were stacked near his ashes in the back of a church.

“They stole condolences and sympathy for the family. I could care less about the money that’s in these cards. It’s farewell to my dad and we never know,” his daughter said.

Wilson died of throat cancer.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is investigating but tells KARE it has no leads.
