Your daily dose of sweetness comes from Vancouver where, unless something happens in the next day or two, Lola Holmes is about to be certified as the world’s oldest curler.
Lola is 100.
She loves curling and apparently has an affinity for making us kids feel a little guilty about our lifestyle.
“I’m very fortunate, but I think most people are capable of doing a lot more than they think they can do,” she tells the CBC.
She started curling when she was 25. But she gave up the sport after a year because being a nurse and raising two kids took much of her time. Twenty years ago, she — literally — picked up the sport again.
