St. Paul teacher caught using the n-word

You’ll want to check the calendar — spoiler alert: it’s 2019 — while reading the St. Paul Pioneer Press story about a teacher in the city school system who thought it acceptable — if only for a moment — to use the n-word in polite conversation.

The teacher is on administrative leave after a parent of a Highland Park student posted a cellphone video of a cellphone video of her in a hallway at Highland Park Middle School.

So the Spanish teacher in highland park middle school (St. Paul, Minnesota) is calling kids n*ggers now…..🧐✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾it’s ok tho, we raised ours to be better than hate. #CloseToHome #HighlandPark #WhatAShame

Says the Press:

She appears to say, “I just walk around the room … (unintelligible) just pick on them. They’re black. And they’re the only (expletive) (n-word) doing any work.”

..

As one of the five walked away, the teacher said, “I know. I’m sorry.”

The school district posted a video apology from the school superintendent.

Defenders of the teacher said she was only repeating what someone else said.
