The fastest-disappearing job in journalism is the photographer and this is the time of the year when it shows.
News organizations try to fill the gap and call on the audience to submit pictures and this is the sort of thing they’d typically get.

It’s all become too much for a Colorado-area TV weatherman who’s apparently fed up with audience-submitted pictures of the weather and the preponderance of patio furniture.
Audience-submitted photos can be tremendous. It goes without saying to long-time NewsCut readers that this remains the greatest photo ever submitted about a holiday weekend in Minnesota.
Beat that, patio furniture!
