The morning ice road status line says they’ll try to keep the road open for a few more days. Last year it closed — melted — in late February.
By the way, even in its strongest state, the Ice Road has its limits:
Meanwhile, the National Park Service reports the ice caves are still open, but the route there is “getting slushy.”
