The beautiful — and corrupt — game

My good friend and MPR colleague, Hart Van Denburg, announced on Twitter over the weekend that he’s giving up trying to explain the beautiful game to Americans.

Advantage: Europe. I guess.

In other news, the New York Times has exposed a syndicate that European police investigators says fixed hundreds of professional soccer matches around the world.
