It’s an aviation truism that when a pilot has a bad day and needs to make an emergency landing, it’s best to get right back on the horse.
Frank Fierro, 75, had a bad day last week when he landed his single-engine ultralight Challenger plane on a highway on Long Island. It wasn’t a big deal; he walked away and the plane was OK to fly again.
Finally, today he took the plane up again. He made another emergency landing. On the same highway on Long Island.
He told police he’s worried his wife will be upset with him.
