Teen: Brother needed moment in commencement spotlight

Austin Coppola graduated from his high school in Rochester, New York, last week. And so did his brother, even though Ty Coppola never attended the school.

Austin had refused to participate in the commencement ceremony unless his twin brother, who has Down syndrome, was allowed to walk on stage with him.

“This is probably going to be one of the most memorable moments of my life and it means so much to me that he can share it with me,” Austin said.

“Nothing means more to me than him walking the stage today; I’m very excited to hear his name called,” he told WHAM TV.
