Cindy Bjerke of Fargo was upset at her 18-year-old daughter’s disrespectful behavior, WDAZ-TV reports, so she sold the Katy Perry tickets she’d purchased for her daughter on the Fargo-Moorhead Garage Sale page.
“I was not going to give her the tickets,” Bjerke told WDAZ. “I was not going to let her go to this concert with this behavior that she’s been doing.”
The tickets sold in a few minutes but the social media posting lit up with criticism over shaming her daughter in public.
“It doesn’t matter what side you’re on, you’re always wrong to somebody,” she told WDAZ. “I think a lot of parents are like me and feel they are being bullied over how they should parent their own children.”
The original posting on the Facebook site has since been removed.
