The El Capitan climb up close

Last week, Kevin Jorgeson and Tommy Caldwell found themselves on top of the world when they successfully climbed — free-climbed — a 3,000 foot granite cliff of El Capitan in Yosemite.

It took 19 days and they hardly did it in secret. The attempt got plenty of news coverage.

This week, however, Patagonia has released some video of what it took to accomplish the feat. And it’s more insane than it seemed last week.
