Bob CollinsOver the summer, North Carolina TV news anchor Larry Stogner was among the thousands of people who took the “ice bucket challenge” to call attention to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis — Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Then he was diagnosed with ALS.
Late last week he announced his diagnosis, and his retirement.
“Right now I’m stuck between denial and dread,” he writes on his Facebook page. “To get that diagnosis from a neurologist…well, you can imagine the feeling.”
