Rebekah Gregory, 27, and Pete DiMartino, 30, were married 10 months ago.
They planned a weekend together in Boston in 2013 after having been on a few dates. They were 10 feet from one of the bombs that exploded at the Boston Marathon.
But theirs was a story of triumph. Their love grew through their ordeal; both were badly injured, she worse than he was. They got married and people viewed their relationship as a symbol of Boston Strong.
Last November, she wrote a break-up letter on Facebook — to her leg. She decided to have it amputated.
And in January she announced the birth… of a new leg.
She traveled the country giving inspirational speeches, but something was missing from her Facebook posts — her husband.
It’s now been revealed the couple has split up.
She plans to run in the Boston Marathon next month.
