For newlyweds, the perfect wedding gift would be jobs and a home

The Internet should do that thing it does so well and help David and Jessica Daughtery get a job.

He’s the man who helped Minneapolis police Sgt. Katie Blackwell chase down a guy who had stolen a cellphone a few years ago.

The couple is homeless, living in a tent and wanted to get married. But churches turned them away until Sgt. Blackwell volunteered to marry them. She’s also an ordained minister.

So they got married last month.

The family has been reunited in family housing and over the weekend the Minneapolis police released this video of the family meeting up with Sgt. Blackwell..

David said they’re waiting to find some housing and, of course, a job.

Do that thing you do, Internet.
