Bob CollinsIn the debate that has seared the nation in the last few weeks, I suspect we use the word “Muslim” without a clear idea of what it means to be Muslim in America.
On Monday morning, I’m providing an opportunity for you to hear about the Muslim experience here when I host the first hour of MPR News with Kerri Miller.
Muslims are the fastest-growing religious group in the world. By 2050, Muslims will make up 2.1% of the U.S. population, according to Pew Research. That’s more than “the number of people who identify as Jewish on the basis of religion as the second-largest faith group in the country (not including people who say they have no religion).”
There has been an uptick in violence towards Muslims since the mass shooting in San Bernardino. How has that affected a day in the lives of individuals?
