Traveling via the airlines can often be like “Lord of the Flies,” not so much because of the people who run the airline. It’s the people who fly on airlines.
What causes people to behave like such fools whenever they step into an aluminum tube?
The story out of Bellingham, Wash., today is but the latest example.
Giovanni, 7, his mom, Christina Fabian, and dad, George Alvarado had to get off a flight preparing for departure because the young man was having an allergic reaction.
“We understood,” his mom said. “They helped us off the plane, but as we gathered our stuff the people toward the back of the plane clapped,” said Fabian.
The trip was supposed to be a special one. Giovanni’s dad is dying.
“My dad is sick with stage four throat cancer,” said Giovanni.
The airline has apologized.
