Would you camp outside a car dealership for a crack at buying a $35,000 car with a range of about 200 miles?

It’s happening all over the country. People are lining up to buy an “affordable” Tesla, an electric car that is the company’s first mass-market vehicle.
The response from people lining up to reserve a car that may not be available for two more years suggest that low gasoline prices haven’t made everyone fat and happy afterall.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk will unveil its Model 3 at an evening event in California tonight.
The people in line will put down a deposit today of about $1,000 to reserve theirs.
