There’s nothing about being a kid that an adult can’t ruin.
A high school graduation in Arlington, Tenn., is the latest proof.
It likely would have been a lovely graduation had a couple of people not started a brawl in the audience at a megachurch.
The problem? A dispute over someone who saved seats for someone else, the Commercial Appeal newspaper says.
“Last night we celebrated 500 students who graduated from Arlington High School,” Tammy Mason, superintendent of the Arlington Community Schools, said in a statement today. “This year’s class earned over $30,600,000 in college scholarships. It was unfortunate that a couple of adults in the audience exhibited the behavior they did prior to the ceremony beginning and thus has caused a distraction from the celebration of our students’ accomplishments.”
“It is our hope that the focus will shift to our students and their accomplishments instead of the poor decisions by adults in attendance,” she said.
