Two Chicago cops are in hot water for embracing the idea of justice for all.
That, contrary to what the distractions of the weekend would have you believe, is what the “take a knee” protests are all about. It’s not about the flag. It’s not about the National Anthem. It’s not about the military.
It’s about the words that are in the Pledge of Allegiance.
For the Chicago Police Department, the words are a political statement and officers shouldn’t embrace it while in uniform.
“We will address it in the same way we have handled previous incidents in which officers have made political statements in uniform, with a reprimand and a reminder of department policies,” the department tells Vice News.

Nick Wright, who does a show on FS1 that, perhaps, few people have an opportunity to watch, pretty much got it right. Uncomfortably right.
“What are you actually mad it?” he asked.
The protests have been hijacked by folks with an agenda. I tried to set the record straight this morning. I think this is worth your time. pic.twitter.com/p5xmmjeeYY
