It was the first day of kindergarten in the Bronx this week for Austin Tuozzolo. His father would’ve accompanied him to the bus stop. But he’s dead.
Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo was shot to death by an estranged husband while responding to a call at a woman’s home last November.
So before the bus came on Tuesday, 30 cops from the NYPD’s 43rd Precinct showed up to escort young Austin to the scariest place in the world for a 5-year-old: the bus at the end of the driveway.
