Golf Digest blogger Joel Beall thinks Minnesota should move on from Prince, although from his column this week, it’s not entirely clear what we should move on to, given that it’s the only identity Minnesotans have.
What motivated Joel Beall to enter the forbidden territory of Minnesota derision?
The Twins’ decision to have a Prince night at Target Field in June and sell Prince-themed merchandise this season.
“C’mon, it’s not like he was Bruce Springsteen,” he says. “And what, no love for Bob Dylan, another product of the Gopher State?”
“Minnesotans define themselves by one calling card, and one calling card only: the Home of Prince,” he says.
We’ve got a big mall, bub.
We await the perspective of Indignant Minnesotan on this transgression.
