The wisdom of innocent men set free

John Nolley Jr. walked out of a courtroom in Texas today with his good name restored.

He was in prison for 19 years until authorities acknowledged he didn’t kill a woman and they let him out of prison in May 2016. Here’s what it looked like then:

But it wasn’t until today he was declared an innocent man in court.

“I don’t have any resentment toward anybody at this point,” the innocent man said. “As you grow and you mature, you kind of realize that the faults you have other people have, too. And they’re just human error; we just make them because we’re human.”

“I’m just ready to let the water go under the bridge and keep moving,” he said.
