Bob CollinsFlowers and hockey generally don’t go hand in hand. But the times demanded it for the West Fargo Sheyenne Mustang hockey team, which made a stop on the way to their game against the Red River Roughriders.
They had to deliver some flowers to Tanner Bernhardson, who plays for their opponent.
He just lost his mother to cancer on Monday, Valley News Live says.
“I said ‘Tanner, we’re deeply sorry for your loss, and we just want you to know that we’re thinking about you and praying for you,'” West Fargo captain Blaze Ackerland said.
Tanner’s dad, Duane, posted the story on his Facebook page.
