‘It’s a miracle,’ mother of girl swept by tsunami says

This was the last image Jamaliah Jannah had of her two children, before they swept away in a tsunami in Indonesia 10 years ago that killed 275,000 people.

The four year old daughter, Raudhatul, was swept onto an island, found by a fisherman, and raised with the name Winni by the fisherman’s mother.

A couple of months ago, the Washington Post reports, her uncle noticed a girl that looked like his missing niece. It was.

“My husband and I are very happy we have found her,” her mother told Deutsche Presse-Argentur International. “This is a miracle from God.”

“I didn’t know her parents were still alive,” her second mother said. “But I’m happy that she is reunited with her family.”

You’ll have to take their word for it. They’re ecstatic.
