Posting might be a little light today. I’m flying over to Oshkosh, Wis., for the AirVenture air show, which started yesterday, and will be filing a few items from there.
Monday’s highlight was the appearance of the Airbus A350, which will start flying for Delta in 2017. It’s been on a tour of major airports, although it won’t be stopping at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
It’ll carry about 350 passengers.
There’s another quality about it; it’s fairly quiet as these things go.
And that might be important if it flies to MSP. The Star Tribune reports the area of Minneapolis affected by noise at the airport is expected to increase significantly, from 412,000 flights last year to 511,000 flights annually by the 2030s.
