Here’s today’s little moment of bittersweetness.
Steve Gleason was an NFL player with the New Orleans Saints until 2008. In 2011, he was diagnosed with ALS.
When his son, Rivers, was born, he began a series of personal video journals “as a way of sharing my life, who I am, and love for him,” he writes.
It’s now a documentary, which will be screened this year at Sundance.
GoPro provided a glimpse with this release yesterday.
“Our film is not just focused on living with ALS, but on a more universal story, exposing the resilience of the human spirit, when faced with extreme adversity,” he says.
