Dakota County sheriff: ‘We’re not involved at pipeline protest’

Dakota County Sheriff Tim Leslie is getting tired of the phone calls about the protest by the Standing Rock Sioux over a planned oil pipeline.

That’s North Dakota, he tells the geographically challenged. His county — the one in Minnesota — is practically in Wisconsin, nowhere near North Dakota or the scene of the protest.

The pipeline protest is taking place in Morton County, N.D.
