Sometimes, we’re lucky enough to get a good snapshot of what love looks like.
It looks like this. A man, his lips red with frosting, feeding a piece of cake to his betrothed.
It was at a surprise party in Duluth yesterday for Mike and Tillie Skorich, age 96 and 95 respectively, who were married in 1942. Do the math. That’s 75 years.
“We’ve had a nice life. Not fancy or anything like that. We had a cabin, enjoyed that,” Tillie tells the Duluth News Tribune.
Gather ’round, kids and soak up Mike’s secret to a long and happy marriage.
“We were lucky,” he says.
