We suspect by now someone has started a GoFundMe page to raise money as a reward for a guy who makes a living at a pizza shop pizza. Good. Dalton Shaffer deserves every dime.
Twenty-five years ago, Julie Morgan and Rich Morgan of Indianapolis lived in Battle Creek, Mich., and had a thing for the pizza at Steve’s Pizza. Rich brought a pizza home every day.
Not long ago, they were going to go back for some memories, but Rich ended up in the hospital, and then a diagnosis: he was dying.
Rich’s dad contacted Steve’s and asked if they’d send a card to cheer him up.
That’s when Dalton answered the phone and asked what kind of pizza they like, Michigan Live reports.
Steve’s Pizza doesn’t deliver. But after he closed up the shop, Dalton, 18, delivered.

He arrived at the Indiana home about 2:30 a.m. and refused money for a hotel, Julie Morgan wrote, leaving right away to get back for work the next day.
Family members of the couple at the house came out and hugged him, Shaffer said.
“They couldn’t believe I would do that,” he said.
Shaffer told the family they are in his prayers, and he asks everyone else to think of them during the tough time.
“I am beyond overwhelmed and humbled by this act of genuine kindness. Dalton brought our family so much joy – and the best pizza in the world – at a really difficult time. While ‘thank you’ hardly seems adequate – from the bottom of my heart, thank you, Dalton from Steve’s Pizza in Battle Creek, MI for making your epic middle of the night pizza delivery!” Julie Morgan wrote on Facebook, posting a photo of two slices of pizza.
“My gosh we need people like this in the world. We need other people to be this way,” Rich’s dad said, giving us our assignment to be more Dalton-like today.
